Winners of Let’s PLAI traveled to Japan
The winners of Let’s PLAI, the contest organized by GeneXus to recognize partners and customers who develop innovative projects with Globant Enterprise AI, traveled to Japan and presented their solutions in one of the most advanced markets in the world.

Representatives of the companies that won the Let’s PLAI contest - Carlos Tedesco (BQS, Argentina), Enrique Almeida (Concepto, Uruguay) and Jorge Salazar (Valkimia, Chile) - completed their prize trip to Japan. The experience combined GeneXus’s strategic vision with the potential of Globant Enterprise AI in a global innovation environment.
Accompanied by Fabián Bonilla and Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Eirale, technical liaisons between the Uruguay and Japan offices, the winners visited GeneXus offices in Tokyo and presented their solutions to the local team.
Carlos Tedesco (BQS), who has been using GeneXus for 36 years, emphasized the importance of technological evolution: “I have experienced all of GeneXus’s transitions, from the first generator to today’s LLMs. Presenting our payroll automation project (RH Payroll) in Japan validates our team’s work and the potential of GeneXus and Globant Enterprise AI.”
Enrique Almeida (Concepto), in turn, highlighted the balance between the professional and cultural aspects: “It was an extremely enriching experience in which I was able to closely experience Japanese work culture. We had two days of meetings and presentations, as well as two days to explore Tokyo. I took the opportunity to visit street markets, the Tokyo National Museum, several temples, and get a bit closer to Japanese cuisine,” he commented.
Almeida also pointed out some aspects that particularly caught his attention during his stay: “Everything is very clean and organized. Even though nearly 40 million people live in Tokyo, everything is very well structured. Thank you all for allowing me to live this experience. The organization of the event and the tours was excellent,” he concluded.
Jorge Salazar (Valkimia) highlighted the simplicity of building solutions with Globant Enterprise AI: “Participating in the Let’s PLAI contest was, as its name suggests, an invitation to experiment and ‘play’ with the potential of artificial intelligence through Globant Enterprise AI. We were able to build real solutions with AI agents in a simple, scalable way, with a tangible impact on workplace challenges. The entire process was highly motivating for the Valkimia team. Additionally, traveling to Tokyo and visiting the GeneXus offices was a very enriching experience. We were deeply impressed by the professionalism, passion, and curiosity with which we were received, making it very inspiring to share with the team and learn about their perspectives on the revolution that artificial intelligence is bringing to the world of information technology and software development. It was very interesting to see firsthand, in one of the most technologically advanced cities in the world like Tokyo, how GeneXus is being used across different industries and local projects, demonstrating the reach and real impact of this technology across various sectors.”
