BQS, Concepto, and Valkimia are the Winners of Let’s PLAI
Let’s PLAI is a contest organized by GeneXus to recognize clients and members of the GeneXus Alliance who develop innovative solutions using Globant Enterprise AI. As part of the prize, the winners will travel to Japan and visit the GeneXus office in Tokyo.
GeneXus announces BQS (Argentina), Concepto (Uruguay), and Valkimia (Chile) as the winners of the first edition of Let’s PLAI, the international contest created by GeneXus to reward clients and members of the GeneXus Alliance who develop innovative solutions using Globant Enterprise AI - the platform developed by GeneXus to easily create Agents and Intelligent Assistants, without the need for programming and completely independent from any language model.
A key prize is a trip to Japan, including a visit to the GeneXus office in Tokyo, where the winners will meet the team responsible for making Japan the territory with the highest GeneXus sales.
The winners’ success stories will also be featured across GeneXus’s various communication channels, celebrating the community's ability to create real impact with cutting-edge technology.
“We are proud to see how the GeneXus Community is using Globant Enterprise AI to develop agentic solutions and intelligent systems that automate and empower people and organizations to tackle the challenges of this new AI era. We are anticipating the future so we can build it together,” said Gisela Bertelli, Chief Business Officer of GeneXus.
The first edition featured companies from Germany, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, the United States, Mexico, Paraguay, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Uruguay.
The judging panel included Gerardo Cúneo (AI Business Manager), Rodrigo Mendez (Solutions and Pre-Sales Technical Specialist at GeneXus and Globant Enterprise AI), and Aníbal Gonda (GeneXus Partner Manager).
The competition was divided into the following categories:
-
Automation Innovation
-
Data Vision
-
Enhanced Customer Experience
The winners and their solutions
-
BQS
Category: Enhanced Customer Experience
BQS developed a project focused on the intelligent automation of payroll configuration and settlement using Globant Enterprise AI, replacing complex manual rules with natural language descriptions.
The result: a 90% reduction in setup time, improved accuracy, and democratized access to the HR tool, enabling users with no technical knowledge to operate the solution in minutes and scale it to multiple companies and regulations.
The project was executed by two collaborators specializing in GeneXus development, AI, and HR knowledge.
-
Concepto
Category: Data Vision
With CLARA v2.0, Concepto automated the generation of customs declarations from invoice images, translating, classifying, and documenting each step using artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
The system accelerates tariff classification and reduces errors, allowing non-expert users to handle critical tasks and ensuring operational knowledge is documented for future use.
In the customs industry, classification errors lead to fines, delays, and logistical costs. Standardizing and accelerating classification directly impacts cost, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
This GeneXus Web application, which integrates agents/assistants via GEAI, was implemented by one developer in one month (115 hours of development, testing, and documentation).
-
Valkimia
Category: Automation Innovation
Valkimia implemented an intelligent assistant based on the SMART methodology (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely), which - starting from audio or meeting transcripts with clients - identifies, structures, and proposes high-impact solutions, all powered by Globant Enterprise AI.
This enables automated identification and scoping of the real business pain point, generating a structured report that facilitates defining a Proof of Concept (PoC) aimed at an effective AI solution.
That report is then processed by a second agent, which proposes three possible PoC solutions, including estimated effort (in HH) as specified by the end user. This entire flow concludes in a consolidated PDF report that summarizes the process from problem identification to solution alternatives.
The solution can be easily integrated into the official website of the service provider via an embeddable API, expanding its reach and usability across various commercial contexts.
This automation reduces time, operational effort, and significantly enhances the quality of the initial analysis, optimizing decision-making and accelerating the delivery of AI-based solutions with Globant Enterprise AI.
Finalists that raised the bar
The following organizations were finalists in the competition: Brokerware (Uruguay), CulturaIT (Argentina), Dvelop (Uruguay), Metrocapital (Chile), UDLA (Ecuador), and Yukon (Netherlands).
All demonstrated the potential of combining automation, data, and artificial intelligence to solve real-world challenges across different industries.
