The CEO of GeneXus will join the plenary session on innovation, trade, and strategic investment, at an event organized by the IDB Group and the Government of Japan to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Asian country's incorporation into the multilateral organization.

The Akasaka Inter-City Conference Center in Tokyo, Japan, will be the venue for the third edition of the Japan-LAC Business Forum.

The event, which will take place from August 24 to 26, 2026, will bring together leaders from the public and private sectors of both regions with the goal of consolidating strategic alliances and driving high-impact investments based on innovation, sustainability, and shared prosperity.

This edition marks a historic milestone by commemorating the 50th anniversary of Japan's incorporation into the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group), co-organizer of the event along with the Ministry of Finance of Japan.

Nicolás Jodal, CEO of GeneXus, will participate as a panelist in one of the plenary sessions scheduled for Monday, August 24, titled: "Innovation, Trade, and Investment for Shared Growth: Redefining the Economic Partnership between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean".

The panel will be moderated by Fabrizio Opertti, manager of the IDB's Productivity, Trade, and Innovation Sector. Joining Nicolás Jodal will be prominent international figures such as Indiana Trejos Gallo, Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica, and Mio Kawada, Executive Vice President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

"Returning to Japan is always a source of deep gratitude and enthusiasm. For GeneXus, the Japanese market is a constant source of inspiration in terms of technical rigor, pursuit of excellence, and long-term vision.
