Globant and GeneXus empower new generations with Techy for a Day
38 students from Centros Educativos Impulso in Montevideo, Uruguay, participated in innovation sessions featuring artificial intelligence and 3D design activities
Globant and GeneXus successfully celebrated a new edition of Techy for a Day, an educational initiative aimed at bringing young people closer to the world of technology and innovation. The event brought together 38 students and 3 teachers from Centros Educativos Impulso, an institution located in Casavalle, Montevideo, Uruguay. They took part in activities designed to inspire and motivate new generations to explore careers in the technology sector.
The event took place simultaneously at the offices of both companies, giving the students a firsthand look at the work environments of two leading companies in the regional technology industry.
During the first part of the event, the students attended informational talks about the work carried out at Globant and GeneXus, two companies that have helped position the region as a global hub for technological development. The speakers shared what careers they studied, how they got their jobs, what their professional journeys have been like, and the innovative projects they are involved in.

This activity gave them firsthand experience with how AI can be used as a creative tool, transforming ideas expressed in text into concrete visual designs.

Hands-on: 3D Design with Artificial Intelligence
The second part of the event was practical and playful. The students participated in an innovative activity that combined Generative AI with digital fabrication. They were divided into two groups and, through prompts - instructions written in natural language - generated figure designs.This activity gave them firsthand experience with how AI can be used as a creative tool, transforming ideas expressed in text into concrete visual designs.
