News

Thanks to our work with the GeneXus Community worldwide, we have some great news to close this year: the release of GXquery 4.0! #SmartDataQuery

With GXquery we can now access mobile queries with the app available for iOS and Android, and thanks to the new Add-In, this is also possible from Excel. In addition to the functionalities of GXquery´s API, the GAM and other querying possibilities constitute the essence of a renewed version of GXquery 4.0.

Thanks to the more than 500 betatesters from 200 different companies worldwide who contributed by testing the beta version, we are now able to launch GXquery 4.0, a fully renewed version in the market that is the GeneXus tool for creating reports from an operational database without the need for any programming.

In advance, it is not possible to foresee everything that users might require regarding reporting and data needs. With this new version of GXquery developers gain in agility so as to respond to the demand for information from users, and also to convey control on (non-technical) end users for them to create their own reports. This version also considers software houses as a working scenario. Some of the key aspects of this new version include: new web interface based on drag&drop design for queries, Excel add-in, GXquery mobile app for iOS and Android, API available to include queries in GeneXus applications, user centralization, and permits in GAM, in addition to the multi-tenant application scenario.

“The main purpose of GXquery 4.0 is to make dynamic queries more agile due to the increasing and continued requirements from users of our systems for obtaining data fast in order to make timely decisions. In applying our new version you will find out how simple and agile this task has become”, said Eugenio García. “Also, the web interface is highly intuitive and serves the end user as well to allow queries without the need for intermediaries”, added the Product Manager, while he pointed out that the focus was centered on web application and mobile device usability.
