We promised and we delivered! GeneXus 17 U9 is now available with OAuth authentication for Google mails and more.

This new version enhances application security and stability. It also includes improvements in back-end, multi-experience development and all Dev-Ops.

The time has come. Authentication by OAuth recommended for Google applications is part of the GeneXus 17 Upgrade 9 updates. This new feature allows updating the technologies for sending and receiving emails (following the suggestions for Google accounts), boosts security and facilitates the customization of service paths for those who develop REST APIs.

Another important aspect is that 2FA, OTP and TOTP are added to native mobile applications that use GeneXus Access Manager (GAM). As for web application development, new options were added to analyze data trends and improve report generation.

The entire DevOps process has also evolved. From now on users will be able to import the design file as a File type object in the KB, select the services to import from an API through the 'Import OpenAPI' tool, take advantage of the new commands created to do UI testing in native mobile applications and much more.

With these updates, we will help our GeneXus Community to improve productivity and increase the security level of their applications. All the information can be found in detail in the GeneXus 17 Upgrade 9 article, published in GeneXus Community Wiki.
