GeneXus X Evolution 2 is the latest GeneXus technology released to the market. It was developed in step with the Smart Device revolution and is strongly focused on the end user. “Letting users access GeneXus-developed applications from any device, at any time and in a secure manner, regardless of whether they are in the office using their laptops or PCs, or on the road using their mobiles” were some of the advantages we aimed for, says Armin Bachmann from the GeneXus Production Team.
Since its release, many companies have taken their big leap forward towards mobile ubiquity. A wide range of web and mobile applications have been developed, and many of them can be seen in the Smart Device Showcase.

GeneXus Upgrade #3 is being released with features such as greater stability and robustness.
These new features will have greatest impact on performance when developing smart device applications. In this sense, the developer’s experience will be enriched with the ability to develop applications running on Android or BlackBerry operating systems. This “will enable developers to generate world-class applications and compete for top rankings in global app stores” says Mr. Bachmann. The new features included in the upgrade are also available for web development in JAVA, in the IDE, GAM, GXserver and workflow.
