Focusing on reporting, the new Query object is integrated into GeneXus’ architecture. The enhanced pillar that sets this object apart is its dynamic query feature, which enables users to define queries in the database on demand, through a flexible and user-friendly interface.

What makes the Query object innovative is the fact that by introducing it into GeneXus’ architecture we can have Business Intelligence solutions integrated in the KB and the development process, an advantage that enables dynamic queries, enhances data handling, and as a result makes it easier for end users to define how information is accessed. Users choose the attributes they want and the data is automatically displayed on a dynamic table, through the User Control, which even allows you to design customizable modifications anywhere in the application.

Another highlight of the User Controls Query Viewer is the way it displays the results of a query, defined with a Query object, inside a Web page. With just dragging-and-dropping and configuring a property, you can display complex queries in a dynamic table integrated into any of the application’s Web forms.
