Now you can stay up to date with everything related to Mexican soccer with the official mobile application of Liga BBVA Bancomer MX.

With this app, soccer fans will have real-time access to results, news about their favorite team, schedules, scores, players, venues and much more.

AppCentral, the partnership created by Zaidenweber group (Mexico and USA) and GeneXus (Uruguay), was in charge of devising this new application using official content of Liga BBVA Bancomer MX.

The technology was developed by the GeneXus team led by Gonzalo Gallotti, Technology Director for the project, under the supervision of Gastón Milano. This application, which has been live for only about ten weeks, has been showcased in the ‘Featured Apps’ section by Apple iTunes and has already had over 200,000 downloads.

"The application delivers the league's official information about scores, occurrences, statistics, minute-to-minute updates, as well as details about the action and the actors of this great sport in real time, with the objective of keeping fans informed and entertained. The league has a wealth of information and to exploit it we have developed unique functionalities", says Mr. Gallotti.

In addition, Marco Zaidenweber, CEO of AppCentral and General Director of the project points out that "the design elements integrated throughout the development process and executed by Gian Franco Prosdócimo provide the app's visual impact, while the state-of-the-art technology developed by the GeneXus team made it possible to include sophisticated functionality -such as running two or more live, simultaneous matches". On the other hand, to achieve the user experience and differentiation factors determined at the beginning of the project, the platform is customizable and offers a Quick View graphic interface and intuitive navigation created especially for clear display of dynamic data in real time, with the ability to drill down into it as required by the user. “I believe we're the only app that offers this functionality," added the executive.
"We've built a dynamic menu with ‘widgets’ that show frequently updated information and provide direct access to the various sections of the app, improving this unique navigation experience even more. Undoubtedly, the app is really informative and entertaining at the same time", added Paul Weitz, Director of Operations at AppCentral.

"This mobile app arose from the need to interactively view information about matches at any time, anywhere, because we can't always be in front of the TV watching our favorite team due to work or personal responsibilities. However, with this app we can stay up-to-the-minute with team lists, replacements, scores, yellow cards, red cards, final results and other aspects that interest fans. In addition, it allows us to connect to social networks and share the screen we're watching from the app itself," commented Gastón Milano.

The application, which is already available for iOS and Android devices, "is one of the most complex and sophisticated apps today due to its functionality and extensive use of graphics" pointed out Gonzalo Gallotti, who had previous experience with projects of this kind. He has also created official soccer apps for Uruguay and Paraguay, using GeneXus as development tool. In addition to accelerating development times, GeneXus allows for simultaneous development of native versions for various platforms.

The app "Liga Bancomer MX Official App" can be downloaded from the App Store for the iPhone, and from GooglePlay for Android devices running version 4.1 or higher.
