Model Business Processes in Minutes to Optimize your Daily Tasks, using GeneXus Business Process Modeler
GeneXus Business Process Modeler, the modeler distributed free-of-charge with GeneXus, has been released, bringing additional advantages plus productivity to your business process automating.
GeneXus Business Process Modeler (GXBPM) is a process modeler distributed for free that provides the tools necessary to design business processes independently from the application associated with the model. It is based on the BPMN 2.0 modeling standard, thus guaranteeing that any professional trained in this graphic language can use it to express processes, and it is aimed at users with a business process analyst profile.
“With GeneXus Business Process Modeler we seek to reach people with the knowledge of how the business works so that they can express it through a workflow diagram that can be easily understood by anyone. In this way we are giving them a tool that will allow them to formalize and document that knowledge, which will later be used in the development and automation stages of these processes,” Eugenio García, GXflow Program Manager at Artech, says.
GXBPM is integrated with GeneXus Server to allow for teamwork and knowledge-sharing, and is thus incorporated into the development cycle with GeneXus.
Another important scenario solved by GXBPM is process updating in the production environment. Once we have our application in production we can connect the process modeler to the production base and make changes in the business rules and in the flow to automatically impact the GXflow database in production and therefore change process definitions.
This makes it possible to complete the continuous improvement cycle proposed by Business Process Management, as once we have identified the potential improvements that can be made in our processes, we can do it directly in the diagram and by impacting the production environment we can have these changes without having to program or introduce intermediate deployment processes, thus providing the speed and ease that today’s market demands.
“And it’s free, so you have no excuses: Start using it now and document your company’s processes. Just picturing it in your head enables you to better visualize how you’re working and paves the way to begin improving how you work in the day-to-day. I invite everyone to use it!" Eugenio García concluded.

Look at the benefits that using GXBPM brings to both companies and developers.
