How we experienced the Partners Meeting 2026

GeneXus Partners and Distributors from around the world gathered in Montevideo (Uruguay) to define the roadmap toward the agentic era.

On May 11 and 12, Montevideo, GeneXus's headquarters, was the meeting point for a high-impact strategic event. GeneXus brought together its global network of Partners and Distributors for the Partners Meeting 2026, an exclusive event aimed at aligning the vision, strategy, and tools with which GeneXus and Globant will lead the agentic transformation of organizations.

The opening keynote was delivered by Nicolás Jodal (CEO of GeneXus), who used an analogy to illustrate the magnitude of the change ahead:

"I have lived in Montevideo for 20 years and I use Waze to get around, the Internet to communicate, to work, for almost everything. If I arrive at the office and there is no connection, I wait a bit, wait a little more, and if the connection doesn't come back, I go home - because without the Internet, I simply can't do anything." He then drew the parallel with the approaching scenario: "With agentic AI, exactly the same thing will happen. The difference is that it won't take five years. In two years, if I arrive at the office and my agents are not working, I'll wait a bit, wait a little more, and if not, I'll have to go home."

Next, Gabriel Simonet, CMO of GeneXus, shared reflections on how organizations will change with artificial intelligence. His talk focused on the fact that this transformation is not limited to software development or software companies, but will reach all types of businesses and areas. In this context, he highlighted the key role of the GeneXus community in supporting clients through a transition that will become increasingly necessary.

For her part, Gisela Bertelli (CBO of GeneXus) presented the business opportunities that GeneXus and Globant Enterprise AI open for partners and clients, and outlined different paths to turn them into growth, adoption, and value generation.

GeneXus and Globant leaders across both days

The event featured a strong lineup of GeneXus and Globant leaders who addressed agentic transformation from multiple dimensions: product, technology, commercialization, and adoption.

From GeneXus, attendees also included Gustavo Carriquiry (GeneXus COO), Rodrigo Méndez (GeneXus Technical Sales), and Ignacio Roqueta (GeneXus Product Engineer Leader), among others.

From Globant, presentations were given by Gastón Milano (Enterprise AI CTO at Globant), Eugenio García (Product Director at Globant), Alejandra Arbat (Product Director and Innovation Strategist at Globant), Pablo Mazzilli (AI-Adoption Services Manager at Globant), Gonzalo Zarza (CDO at Sportian), Diego Cardozo (Product Director at Globant), Matías Boix (SVP Technology at Globant), and Gerardo Cúneo (Growth Strategy Manager at Globant).

The second day was oriented toward hands-on work: Martín Torrado (GeneXus Technical Support Specialist Sr) and Javier Larrosa (GeneXus Technical Support and Developer) led the hands-on workshop on GeneXus for Agents with certification, while partner teams worked on defining their action plans for their respective markets.

A turning point for the global ecosystem

The Partners Meeting 2026 was the space from which GeneXus presented its new vision for the future, highlighting the role of platforms - such as Globant Enterprise AI - and the strategic role of GeneXus within this expanded ecosystem.

"The gathering consolidated GeneXus's commitment to its global partner network and laid the foundations for a new business model in which agentic intelligence will occupy a central place in the operations of organizations. Furthermore, the event marked the beginning of a new stage for GeneXus and its partner community: helping companies increasingly in their transition toward the use of artificial intelligence across all types of operations, functions, and business areas. It is no longer just about AI applied to development, but a much broader transformation that opens a powerful opportunity for our entire ecosystem," added Gabriel Simonet.

We thank all the Partners, Distributors, and GeneXus and Globant leaders who traveled to Montevideo to be part of this gathering, as well as those who followed the event live through the stream. Your participation is a fundamental part of this global ecosystem.
