GeneXus will discontinue GXportal as of 2023
On May 30, 2023, GXportal, the product developed with GeneXus to create and maintain Web sites, will be officially discontinued.
The market has evolved, user needs have changed, and in that context, GeneXus has decided to cancel the operation of GXportal as of May 2023.
"Although GXportal is a high quality product, we do not currently have a high demand to justify the maintenance of its operations. For this reason, we have decided to focus on other business areas. In May 2022 we communicated the news to our customers to inform them in advance", says Eugenio García, Product Manager of the GeneXus Suite.
Understanding that this decision will mean important changes for customers, GeneXus has created a work schedule that will allow users to manage their migrations in advance, which are detailed below:
GXportal Online (SaaS)
This service will be available until Tuesday, May 30, 2023. After that date, the sites will be permanently deactivated.
GXportal Local
In order to provide a reasonable time for the change of platform, the GXportal Corporate support and corrective maintenance service will be available until Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Customers who so wish may continue to use the system beyond that date, but will not have support or bug fixes for the version from Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Since its launch, more than 10 years ago, GXportal has helped computer scientists, design and digital marketing experts, and software houses to create, maintain and integrate websites without the need for programming skills.
"Big challenges and opportunities are coming, and we are already working on them. We will continue to build and innovate to bring the best of technology to our clients," says García.
