GeneXus Upgrade 2 has been released

Faster in every way and with more features for conversion to X.

After being subjected to exhaustive testing by Artech and several users, Upgrade 2 has been released. Its key benefits include faster development and execution of applications. The usability of the IDE has been greatly improved and the generators' speed has been increased, thus enabling faster prototyping cycles. In addition, there is better management of jscripts and formulas, which makes it possible for GeneXus-generated applications to run faster. Now they can also run on Google Chrome.

The multi-user features have been enhanced, as has been everything related to versioning. In particular, object versions are now called "Revisions" and the user may enable any previous version of an object.

This upgrade allows you to automatically convert Knowledge Bases created with GXflow 9.0 Upgrade 1 to GeneXus X. Upgrade 2 brings enhancements to the Ruby generator, which is close to being a Release Candidate, and releases Beta 1 of the Query object and QueryViewer control, some things that we will discuss in more detail in future articles.
