GeneXus Rocha CTP 4 is released!

CTP 4 of GeneXus Rocha has just been released for download, with adjustments, improvements and new features such as a new Look & Feel, new improvements in formulas and full support for attributes and variables, among others.

The new Look & Feel is one of the most important new features of this Community Technology Preview (CTP), because it follows the new corporate image.

The support for the Themes has being incorporated so they can be edited from within the GeneXus IDE.

There is a substantial improvement in aggregation formulas support and their generation in much more efficient SQL code. They have greater expressivity allowing for example to have conditional expressions (exp if cond; …; expn otherwise) and simultaneously generating them as an SQL expression, so they are 100% solved in the data base server, which reduces significantly the number of roundtrips to the Server.

But what is really important in this release is that the Knowledge Manager is now capable of consolidating many more exported KBs from Genexus 9.0. It ultimately enables starting to work with real KBs with more objects, generating more complete applications.

But of course, that is not all: the diagrams have improved looks and in the calculation of the automatic layouts there is a highly superior infrastructure support for Patterns. The GeneXus Patterns have being improved and the Web editor has undergone important changes in functionality and stability as well as the category editor.
