GeneXus Next launches to a full house in Chile (includes photos)

GeneXus Next debuted to a full house in Chile, marking the first in-person global launch of this technology. The event was organized in partnership with Valkimia, the official GeneXus distributor in the country.

With full attendance and an audience made up of developers, CIOs, and representatives from leading companies across various industries, GeneXus unveiled GeneXus Next, the latest edition of its platform, in Santiago, Chile.

This was the second GeneXus Encounter held in Chile in 2025 and the first international in-person event focused on the launch of GeneXus Next. Both sessions were jointly organized with Valkimia.

The event - the first global in-person launch - was held on November 4 at the Globant headquarters in the Costanera Center in Santiago, and marked the second major GeneXus gathering in Chile so far in 2025.

Introducing GeneXus Next | Chile 2025 kicked off in the early morning, following a breakfast format that provided a relaxed setting for attendees. Rodrigo Silvera (Regional Manager for Latam Pacific at GeneXus) and César Cabrera Mena (CDO at Valkimia) served as hosts for the event.

The presentation of GeneXus Next was led by Gisela Bertelli (CBO of GeneXus) and Gustavo “Guscarr” Carriquiry (COO and Product Manager of GeneXus), who showcased the distinctive capabilities of GeneXus Next - the market’s first native Low-Code Agentic Platform, specifically designed to help businesses incorporate Generative Artificial Intelligence into their systems in a secure and controlled manner. Thanks to its integration with Globant Enterprise AI, it provides strict data security controls and regulatory compliance, ensuring governance in AI usage.

"Unlike other platforms, GeneXus Next integrates AI natively throughout the entire software lifecycle, enabling process automation, code traceability, and application evolution without compromising quality or security. This synergy eliminates the risks associated with isolated AI use and offers organizations a robust, future-ready platform aligned with the highest enterprise standards," Bertelli explained.

The agenda continued with the talk “GeneXus Migrations with AI: From Legacy to Smart,” delivered by Joaquin Delgado (CTO at Valkimia) and Eduardo Lieb (Director of Services at Valkimia). Next, Jorge Salazar Castañeda (GeneXus Consultant at Valkimia) presented “AI in Action: Real Cases with Globant Enterprise AI.”

After a break, the event resumed with an All Hands session led by GeneXus Partners.

The first session was led by Sofía Maiolo (CCO of WorkWithPlus), who shared all the latest updates on WorkWithPlus aimed at increasing productivity and improving user experience (UX) in GeneXus application development.

Then, Federico Pascale (Business Developer at K2B Tools) introduced the Service Builder, the first service generator for GeneXus applications, which simplifies the exposure of service groups using advanced patterns that integrate directly into the development environment.

GeneXus Certifications: Boosting professional growth and strengthening the ecosystem

As part of the event and continuing the mission to strengthen the GeneXus Community in Chile, Valkimia organized an exclusive GeneXus certification day the following day. This initiative gave the community a chance to formally validate and certify their platform knowledge - a key differentiator in the tech industry.
