From Figma to GeneXus: New free course
The training is online and available on demand in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. It is aimed at designers and design teams who want to learn how to integrate their creations in Figma into projects developed with GeneXus.
We are announcing the launch of the course “From Figma to GeneXus: Design Stage”, the first in a series of three complementary training programs created to address the different roles involved in the design and import process in GeneXus. The following stages will be available soon and will be announced through GeneXus’ official channels.
The course combines theory, practical examples, and recommendations based on GeneXus best practices. It is designed for product design professionals, UI/UX designers, and teams working alongside GeneXus developers, with the goal of optimizing the workflow between designs created in Figma and their implementation in GeneXus applications.
“This is a great opportunity to improve collaboration between design and development, ensuring that interfaces created in Figma are translated efficiently, consistently, and in a reusable way within GeneXus projects. We want design teams to understand the technical process so they can make decisions that optimize results from the very beginning,” highlights Cecilia Passalacqua, Designer Advocate at GeneXus.
To get the most out of the course, solid experience with Figma is recommended, including: creating and reusing components, applying styles, using icons and presets, exporting images at multiple resolutions, and a basic understanding of responsive design.
Aimed at UX/UI designers, this course focuses on how to properly structure Figma files for interpretation in GeneXus. It includes best practices on screen organization, use of components and styles, and criteria to prevent issues in later stages.
