From Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 October, the 27th edition of our much-awaited annual Meeting will take place in Montevideo under the motto “Shape your Future.” The wide range of talks offered at this Meeting continues to revolve around Digital Transformation, looking into its impact on society and business, and exploring opportunities brought about by self-driving vehicles, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Technology, the Internet of Things, and Virtual Reality.

Less than one week away from the event, the program of about 150 activities is already available at www.genexus.com/meeting. Also, the app can be downloaded from Google Play and iTunes.

Just like every year, GX27 will gather more than 3,500 participants from about 24 countries. Over the course of 3 days, they will attend presentations by renowned speakers about the latest technology trends. Some of the keynote speakers confirmed for GX27 come from the fields of leadership strategies and change management. For example, Shoham Adizes (USA) will give a session titled “The Future of Management” about managing the digital transformation of organizations. Susana García Robles (IDB) will talk about innovation in Latin America. In turn, Engineer Fernando Bracco (Uruguay) will speak about Artificial Intelligence in relation to robotics and teleoperation. Civil Engineer Daniel Fernández Koprich (Chile) will also be present to share his extensive experience gained as CEO at various companies in industries such as Engineering, Oil & Gas, Urban Transportation, Ports, Mining Logistics, TV, and Energy. Computer Science Engineer and Under-Secretary for the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining Guillermo Moncecchi (Uruguay) will give a session titled "20 years of Machine Learning" to mark the 20th anniversary of the publication of the book Machine Learning by Tom Mitchell. The renowned blogger Eliax (Dominican Republic) will once again be in attendance. In his fifth consecutive year at the GeneXus Meeting, he will give two sessions under the title "Artificial Intelligence Titans."

Sean Summers, Regional Vice President at Mercado Libre, will offer a talk about innovation in e-commerce. Microsoft's CTO for Latin America Eduardo Mangarelli will introduce the company's latest developments. Also, expert speakers from the world of Bitcoins and Fintech have been confirmed.

In addition to assessing new business models and startups, the 3-day event with approximately 150 activities will address how to give shape to our future through the following topics: Internet of Things (IoT), Software Security, Testing, Cloud, Mobile, Artificial Intelligence (Cognitive Services, Machine Learning, Deep Learning), API Economy (API Protocols, API Management, API Integration), UX (Visual Design, Interaction Design, Omnichannel UX, Conversational).
