Windows 8 RTM has been satisfactorily released and tested with GeneXus X Evolution 2 #GXev2 #Windows8
Windows 8 finally announced its RTM version in August 2012. This cutting-edge operating system for PCs includes ARM architecture, which constitutes the basis of mobile devices.
Amidst this technological scenario, Artech’s personnel has carried out tests that have worked out perfectly with the latest versions of GeneXus, also and particularly with version X Evolution 2, our technology which combines automatic multi-platform development for mission critical applications with the generation of smart device applications.
This is great news to the GeneXus Community, since it represents the possibility for members to start their developments on the Windows RTM prior to the release of the final version, scheduled for late October 2012.
Coming up: Generator for new metro interface of Win8, Modern UI
Artech’s development team has announced that it is working on a generator to be included in GeneXus for the new metro interface of Win8: Modern UI, meant for touch-control systems. News are expected soon in this regard, particularly in the context of the #GX22
