Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello (UNAB) of Chile signs agreement with SONDA
Thanks to this agreement, GeneXus X will be taught to future IT professionals in Chile.
Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello is a leading institution among the private universities in Chile. It offers 60 degree courses, has more than 31 thousand enrolled students and is perceived as one of the best universities of Chile.
Thus, we're very pleased to announce that Sonda, Official GeneXus Distributor in Chile, has closed an agreement with this university to include GeneXus X in the degree courses of Civil and Computer Science Engineering and Computer Management Engineering.
As an initial step, Sonda has provided training in GeneXus X to six educators at the UNAB premises, as well as to those in charge of labs so that they can perform the installation and startup process.
The agreement included two six-month courses –in the mornings and afternoons– as part of the curriculum of the degree courses, encompassing more than 50 students. These courses comprise theory and practical lessons, last approximately 60 hours each, and are given at full-equipped labs together with theory presentations. These courses will be undertaken by KBI, GeneXus Training Center, and will be taught by Juan Carlos Báez, a GeneXus Instructor and Computer Science Engineer.
