In less than 30 days, the GeneXus community will celebrate its XIII GeneXus International Meeting. We are presenting the main lecturers and announcing a new service: Internet wireless access

The influence of the XML in IT development, the future of databases 40 years after they were first introduced in the market, the commercial race between the Java and Microsoft.NET platforms, and ARTech's commercial expansion with new branches in Mexico and Sao Pablo are some of the issues that ARTech's President Breogán Gonda has proposed for discussion at this XIII GeneXus International Meeting.

Breogán Gonda and Nicolás Jodal, ARTech's President and Vice President respectively, will be in charge of two of the Keynotes, as usual.

In this thirteenth edition, the Keynotes will count on the presence of Enrique Baliño, Director of Zonamerica; Mike Culver, Microsoft Corporation's .NET Group Program Manager; Doug Fulmer, World Wide Sales Exec. iSeries e-business Infrastructure of IBM; Mariano de Larrobla, President of De Larrobla & Asociados; Dr. Julio Decaro, CEO of the CMI International Group;  and Juan Grompone, Director of Interfase; and Ken Orr, and President of the Ken Orr Institute.

Moreover, there is room for participation in the Solutions space, created for companies interested in launching either their solutions or their new versions at the XIII GeneXus International Meeting. People who are interested in a spot should contact María Laura Marrero mlm@artech.com.uy.

Apart from the usual services provided by ARTech to the participants of this Meeting (e-centers, meeting rooms), this year, ARTech is also incorporating internet wireless access. This type of access, for which the WiFi technology in HotSpot modality is used, will be available from any area within the Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza Hotel, where the Meeting will be held, except for conference rooms. Participants wishing to have wireless access from their portable devices (notebooks, Pocket PC's, etc) will need an 802.11B-norm network plate.

This year's whole conference program will soon be published at the Meeting's Web site. There, participants will find more in-depth information pertaining to the different types of lectures and services offered (labs, face-to-face meetings with developers, commercial presentations, etc.) so that they may organize their schedules depending on their profiles.
