IV GeneXus Brazil Meeting: Total success!
The pre-launch of the new GeneXus version, which relies on the collaboration of Wiki tools, took place during the IV GeneXus Brazil Meeting. The meeting had over 400 participants, including partners, executives and members of academia.
Artech presented during the IV GeneXus Meeting of Brazil, the new Rocha version of GeneXus, a development tool used by over 5,500 clients, who make up a community of over 40 thousand people.
The new version's launch is planned for next year. The new platform has full IDE rewrite and new characteristics such as a process modeler, an integrated portal and pattern based development.
One of Rocha’s main characteristics is collaboration; an essential feature of web 2.0, the new Internet generation. “Collaboration tools extend to the whole application, allowing users to spread knowledge concerning the platform and the development processes”, states Breogan Gonda, the company’s president. This is why connectivity with the Community Wiki appears in the tool as a new feature.
At the event there was a presentation about Artech’s progress in the last year, especially concerning the technology and business trends that relate to software development. One of the presenters of those trends was Nicolas Jodal, Artech’s vice president.
The program also included success story presentations – Roche Brazil and Coderp - made by partners such as IBM Brazil and Heuris Tecnologia. “These presentations ratified Artech’s solid partner policy, which delegates on local partners the development and sales of its solutions”, states Gerardo Wisosky, Solution Partner Manager of Artech.
At the IV GeneXus Brazil Meeting there were also conferences and presentations about technology and business, along with technical sessions where such topics were discussed as the new Rocha platform, Ajax, Patterns, SOA, Mobility, Web Portals and GeneXus BPM Suite.
