As you know, the Release Candidate of JAVA generator for GeneXus version 6.0 and GeneXus version 6 Evolution 1 was released last Tuesday.

Some of this generator’s features are:

• functions for Excel
• functions for using FTP, for receiving mails from GeneXus programs
• the ‘shell’ function, for invoking external executables
• reports to screen with the Report Viewer for all the virtual machines
• horizontal scroll in the subfiles
• ‘Refresh Timeout – Triggers’ property in the Work Panels (*)
• the ServerDate, ServerTime and ServerNow functions (*) are supported.
• DCOM and calls to ‘stored procedures’ (including RPG/Cobol programs in AS/400) are also supported.
