GeneXus expands to southern Chile
On Monday, August 17, Universidad Austral de Chile -Puerto Montt campus- hosted the seminar "Come find out about GeneXus and discover a new software development paradigm." It was one of several initiatives undertaken by KBIcapacita to promote the Case tool in Chile.
The event was organized by Patricio Ojeda Vargas, Senior GeneXus Analyst with 5 years of experience and knowledge of the tool, who is pioneering promotional activities in the southern region of the country.
The IT Management Engineer arranged a seminar divided in two parts. In the morning starting at 11 a.m., a session was given about the following topics: GeneXus Methodology for Software Development; GeneXus Philosophy; GeneXus Technologies and Platforms; GX and Patterns Demo, among others. Products created using the tool were also presented.
During the second half that started at 3 p.m., Patricio Ojeda led a practical workshop in which an application was developed using GeneXus X.
It is worth mentioning that the event had the purpose of promoting the tool among IT professionals. Nevertheless, these efforts were also aimed at establishing alliances between KBIcapacita and academic institutions in order to include GeneXus in the curriculum grids of higher education centers.
