GeneXus Business Process Modeler and its Release Candidate!

GeneXus Business Process Modeler (GXBPM) allows users knowledgeable about BPMN 2.0-based modeling to diagram business process flows in their companies. Besides, no licenses of any kind are required, and it’s totally free!

GeneXus Business Process Modeler provides the tools necessary to model business processes, regardless of the application associated with the model. Based on the BPMN 2.0  modeling standard, it is oriented at users with a business analyst profile.

The idea behind GXBPM is to solve two scenarios that are quite different:

1) One is the case of process modeling in the initial stages of automation projects for business processes. Non-technical users knowledgeable about the business –and with the skill to express workflows and rules based on the BPMN 2.0 graphical notation language- can now become part of the life cycle of these projects. It is now possible to use modeled processes in the development stage, to then include the developments in GeneXus. .

2) Another scenario we can solve with this tool is the changes in business processes, directly in testing and production environments. This enables the possibility of changing flow rules and tasks of the modeled processes in a visual manner, in addition to impacting this and making available a new version of the modified business processes.

Some of the main features in GeneXus Business Process Modeler are:
  • It’s totally free of charge!
  • It’s easy to use.
  • It’s based on BPMN 2.0 standard.
  • It allows the possibility of exporting/importing diagrams based on XPDL standard.
  • It allows integration with GeneXus Server.
  • It enables you to document processes within the modeler.
