GeneXus Bookmarking

GXnews presents a new tool: social markers. From now on, the members of the GeneXus Community will have the possibility of storing, sharing and classifying the news they consider most interesting.

Participating, sharing, creating, sending, saving. These are some of the “new functions” the Web users have at hand after the creation of the Web 2.0 concept. The possibility of users interacting more with the created products (such as Wikipedia, Facebook or Flickr) has caused these needs to grow.

Social bookmarking (or social markers) is an easy and popular way to store, classify and share Internet links. That is, a list of Internet resources that users consider useful and wish to save for a later visit or even to send to someone else. Thus, other people of similar interests may view the links by category, label or randomly.

Therefore, from now on, GeneXus News will have some social marker tools, such that the GeneXus Community may store, classify, and above all, share those news items they consider important. To use most of these tools, it is necessary to be a registered user, but they all have a relatively simple registration process.
