The Kamalito Shopping modernized its financial, stock and sales control systems by using an application for the Administrative Area developed with GeneXus.
The traditional shop of the city of Foz do Iguaçu, Parana, had an administrative control system that needed to be remodeled and expanded to respond to the Shopping Center demand. For this reason, Kamal Osman, a partner in the company, took a decision: to find a new application in the market.
He looked for a modern approach, productivity, strength and mainly a good cost/benefit relation, which he found in Vitrine, a solution distributed by Midbyte, Artech Solution Partner. The decision was unanimous: purchasing Vitrine as new software platform for the Administrative Area.
Optimization and improvement of the financial, stock and sales control systems were the objectives planned for with Midbyte and they were the focus of the solution implementation. This process, with the use of GeneXus 7.5 and GXquery 2.0, enabled the registry data of the old system to be imported to the new Vitrine Administrator system.
The implementation of the cash front system added new features and controls in the process. One of them was the correct use of the “Emissor de Cupom Fiscal (ECF)” (In Portuguese, “Tax Coupon Issuer” in English), required by Brazilian Tax Law, which was complemented with practical training to improve the use and productivity at the point of sale.
Cash flow control forecasted and actual; accounts payable and credit invoicing distributed in each store now has a consolidated position in real time, making it possible to centralize stock management for finance.
Main improvements of Vitrine implementation at Kamalito Shopping
“Originally the system only controlled a department store in the Shopping Center; later, when we were sure we had chosen the best solution, we decided to implement the GeneXus generated system in all the shops”, states Kamal Osman.
The implantation of the Vitrine Software in the server generated a distribution among the Kamalito Shopping shops, with approximately 30 concurrent users. The solution allowed the growth and technological advance of the corporation, enabling the modernization of its tools and generating an improvement in its customer service.
