Congratulations!
The first GeneXus users meeting in Barcelona, Spain, was a complete success. The meeting held on March 24, was the starting point for the community to meet and exchange experiences about the use of the tool.
The participants also filled out a questionnaire that will be used to decide what topics are interesting and the needs of the users for the next meetings of the group. As in other opportunities, there was a raffle of the book “Practical GeneXus Guide, Knowledge Based Development” written by Professor Daniel Marquez Lisboa and published by Grupo Magro publishers, which was a gift from Artech. The winner was Paco Bueno; while Oriol Llobet won the CD with GeneXus courses and demos which was also donated by Artech.
During the meeting there were some news about GeneXus Rocha, and the group’s web page was coordinated to be launched, laid out by Daniel Baltasar and Jaime Abad. But at the event organized by Carina Singer, there was also delicious pasta and enough time for people to chat in smaller groups. This was especially important because there were people from different provinces such as Barcelona, Girona, Llerida and Castellon.
The date for the group’s next meeting is not set, but it will be in May, so that it will fall around the date of the GeneXus Course to be taught in Spain around that time, and then one of Artech’s presenters can participate.
Another group that got together in the last few weeks was the GeneXus Users Group of Asuncion, Paraguay. The Community of Paraguay held its successful first meeting, which kicks off the city’s users’ group. For those who want to participate in future meetings, you can contact Hebert Pastorino, organizer of the first meeting.
Following the example of the GeneXus Users’ Group of Barcelona, and the previous ones, Julian Calvo is organizing the group of the coffee axis in Colombia. If you’d like to attend, please contact him by mail at juliancalvo.col@gmail.com.
