Bebidas del Paraguay had two issues that needed to be addressed urgently: improving the efficiency of the order-taking process and the registration of the collection thereof.  The system was also required to considerably reduce the ordertaking time, considering that up to that moment this process was carried out manually. This, in turn, would improve the customer advice service.

For this reason, with GeneXus' help, a system was developed which creates a route of customers to be visited at a certain frequency and in a certain order. Sales representatives take the orders based on price policies, promotions and discounts and credit policies configured for each customer. At the end of the day, each sales representative connects to the main database via WiFi and synchronizes the data in order to generate invoices and delivery schedules.

The system, in turn, prevents the errors that would sometimes occur when unfulfilled orders were submitted, at the time when the pre-sales data were manually loaded.

The challenge of developing with the latest technology on a new and constantly changing platform was faced with the help of GeneXus, which substantially simplified development, pointed out Hugo Alberto Correa, systems manager of Bebidas del Paraguay S.A.
