UNAM recognizes GeneXus for Its contribution to Higher Education in Mexico
This recognition celebrates more than a decade of collaboration between GeneXus and UNAM, highlighting the positive impact this synergy has had in preparing professionals to face the challenges of the digital world.
GeneXus was honored by the School of Accounting and Administration at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) for contributing to the strengthening of higher education in Mexico and for its impact within the student community of the school.
The award was received by Rebeca García, Country Manager of GeneXus in Mexico; Ivette González, Training and Technical Presales Coordinator at GeneXus Mexico; and Marelen Abad, Technical Support Senior at Globant & Senior GeneXus Instructor.
During the ceremony, Valeria Soledad Sánchez, a UNAM student currently working at a company that uses GeneXus, was also recognized. Her case is a clear example of the positive impact of the Business Subjects Program, successfully connecting students with the labor market from within the classroom.
The event was held as part of the 15th anniversary celebration of UNAM’s Business and Organizational Subjects Program, an initiative that aims to bring students closer to the professional world through courses designed in collaboration with leading companies.
The event took place at the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), with the presence of UNAM’s Rector, Dr. Leonardo Lomelí Vanegas, the School Director, Dr. Armando Tomé González, as well as other current and former directors of the school.
GeneXus currently offers a course at the School of Accounting and Administration at UNAM, providing students with practical tools for their professional development in the tech world.
“Receiving this recognition from UNAM fills us with pride and reaffirms our commitment to training the next generation. We will continue building the future of Mexican talent together, connecting education and technology through GeneXus and UNAM,” said Ivette González during the ceremony.
In addition to GeneXus, other companies such as IBM, PWC, Apple, TOKS, Deloitte, Nestlé were also recognized for their active participation in this program, which has transformed the practical education of thousands of university students.
