Nicolás Jodal is GeneXus’ new CEO
Breogán Gonda, who appointed Nicolás Jodal as the company’s new CEO at the closing ceremony of the XXII GeneXus Meeting, has informed that he will remain as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and will be focus his work at GeneXus on research, strategy and training activities.
GeneXus X Evolution 2, successful migrations, generating applications for mobile devices, development for Windows 8, GeneXus Tilo, and GeneXus’ platform in the Cloud, were some of the news presented at the XXII GeneXus Meeting last October 1st to 3rd. But the greatest surprise came at the closing ceremony when the company’s President, Breogán Gonda, announced that he will be leaving his operational duties behind and appointed Nicolás Jodal as GeneXus’ new CEO.

The event’s closing was seasoned with moving moments. Breogán Gonda spoke of the impact of technology on education and the subsequent transformation process. He reflected upon a fast-changing world that continuously reinvents itself, and went on to announce his retirement from his operational activities at GeneXus: “All I have done through all these years, as I fulfilled by duties, was a pleasure, but the time has come for me for a fresh start. And when we decide to start again, there’s a time perfect to do it, and that is NOW!” Gonda surprised everyone by announcing that Nicolás Jodal will become the new CEO at GeneXus, and assured that he will continue working at the Company, acting as Chairman of the Board, and will center his work mainly on promoting innovation within the firm and in the GeneXus Community.
