CablePlus chose the GX Vision solution to manage its clients.

The solution was presented at Punta Show 2009, held May 5 through 7 in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Learn why this is the ideal solution for technological convergence in telecommunications.

At Punta Show –an annual pay TV exhibit fair- GX Vision, a leading company in the field of development and implementation of management and invoicing solutions for telecommunications companies, announced that Cable Plus, the main pay TV operator of Ciudad de la Costa, Uruguay, has selected its integrated solution GX-Vision 9.0 to support its business model and provide greater coverage for its wide range of services.

GX-Vision 9.0 is a software solution specialized in the management of pay TV companies, which is based on a flexible and scalable full Web platform that provides integral support for the needs of today’s triple pay operators: Pay TV, Internet and Telephone services.

For its implementation in Cable Plus, a marketing method known as Software as a Service (SAAS) was chosen in a joint project with Montevideo Comm which provides communication and hosting services from its Data Center.

This marketing method allows our customers to access a world-class system and maintain their focus on managing their business, without having to make significant investments in hardware and software infrastructure, while being guaranteed that they’ll have ongoing system support, maintenance and evolution, with no need for in-house IT staff," said Michel Bonet, director of operations of GX-Vision.

Talking about the current technology convergence, Daniel Gago, General Manager of Cable Plus said: “We chose GX-Vision among the various options we considered because of the multiservice solution it offers, which is also flexible, integrated and convergent in accordance with the current needs of the company, but also because it puts us in an excellent position to meet the challenges that will arise from the launch of the upcoming Cardales Plan* in Uruguay.”

*The Cardales Plan (Convergence for Access to Entertainment and Development of Job Alternatives and Sustainable Enterprises) is an initiative of the Uruguayan government aimed at taking technology and technological convergence to households throughout the country by way of different types of frequency (cable TV, fixed or mobile telephone system, Internet) simultaneously.
