Official Rules for the GeneXus "Let's PLAI” Contest


NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES CAREFULLY. By accessing or participating in the contest, you (“Participant”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all terms incorporated by reference. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST.

1. Contest Name and Sponsor.

The name of the contest is "Let´s PLAI". It is organized by Genexus S.A. (“Sponsor”).

2. Objective.

The objective of the Let´s PLAI contest is to promote the use of an artificial intelligence platform among the installed base of GeneXus through a practical contest. The goal is for participants to create a use case which is solved through an agent, flow or agentic process  developed with Globant Enterprise AI. The final aim is for customers to experience Globant Enterprise AI, recognize its value, generate concrete use cases, and potentially become active users.
 

3. Eligibility.

To be eligible to participate, Participants must meet one of the following criteria:  
  • Be an active GeneXus customer at the time of registration. Companies are considered active GeneXus customers if they are current with the maintenance of their contracted products or have a current lease.
  • Be a member company of the GeneXus Alliance program.

Once participants complete their registration, the Sponsor will review whether they meet the eligibility criteria. Only after this validation will they be officially considered registered. Participants who are duly registered for the contest will be granted free access to Globant Enterprise AI (GEAI), with a token usage limit of 5 million tokens, exclusively for the purpose of developing their assistants/agents, and only for the duration of the Contest.

This free access will be valid from the moment of confirmation until the announcement of the winner. After that point, the GEAI license will be deactivated on November 9, 2025 and the project will be deleted if the Participant has not migrated it. Participants who wish to continue using the platform must request it by contacting sales@genexus.com.

You can not participate if (A) you are resident of, or individual located in, the "Excluded Territories". These include (i) Brasil, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman; (ii)  any jurisdiction sanctioned by the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. § 1701) of the United States, or other laws administered by the United States Office of Foreign Assets and Control (“OFAC”) or by any other governmental authority imposing such or similar economic sanctions and trade embargoes against countries designated by such or similar laws, and (iii) any jurisdiction in which the any aspect of the contest and/or the prize would violate applicable law, rule or regulation (i, ii, and iii together, the “Excluded Territories”); and (B) any individual on the List of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons or the Foreign Sanctions Evaders List maintained by OFAC, or who have been previously indicted for or convicted for any Patriot Act Offense or similar offense. (C) Sponsor and its parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, employees and the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such person are not eligible to participate, enter, or win any prize. (D) Government officials and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate or receive a prize.  For the purposes of this contest, government officials are defined as individuals employed by government departments and agencies, including all federal, state, provincial, county, city or municipal government officials (where applicable), statutory boards, public bodies, and anyone employed by a government-owned or controlled company.  By participating in the contest, you are acknowledging that you are not a government official and/or immediate family member of a government official, and are willing to provide evidence of the same, if requested. Sponsor may also exclude, at its sole discretion, Participants from jurisdictions that require any type of registration with local authorities of the contest and/or the Sponsor.

Sponsor may request any potential winner to provide proof that such person is participant selected as a potential winner. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a participant, a submission will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address or social media profile associated with the Submission. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned to an e-mail address or social media account by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address or social media accounts. A selected Participant may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address or social media account associated with the submission.  Potential winners are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. By participating in the contest, Participants fully and unconditionally agree and accept these official rules (“Official Rules”) and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the contest. Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.  The contest is deemed to be organized in the United States. VOID WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

4. Contest Period

This contest will follow the schedule outlined below, subject to adjustment as reasonably necessary. The Submission Period begins on June 26, 2025, at 00:00 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). All Submissions must be received by July 25, 2025, at 23:59 EDT. All registered participants will receive a confirmation of participation by July 30, 2025, sent to the email address provided during registration. Along with the confirmation, participants will receive detailed instructions for the submission and presentation of their AI project. Participants must submit and present their AI project by September 15, 2025, at 23:59 EDT. The announcement of finalists will be made on October 2, 2025, and the winners will be officially announced and published on October 9, 2025. The Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper for this contest.

5. How to Enter

Eligible Participants may enter the contest by taking the following steps. Submissions are submitted using the landing page available at this link. To participate, potential Participants must register and provide the following details during the Submission Period:  
  • Name of the power sponsor executive of the Participant.
  • Last Name of the power sponsor executive of the Participant.
  • Title of the power sponsor executive of the Participant.
  • Email address of the power sponsor executive of the Participant.
  • Name of the Participant.
  • Country of Participant.
  • Industry Participant
  • General description of the Participant
  • Website of Participant
  • Description of the project to be submitted 
The power sponsor executive should be the highest-level leader responsible for the team(s) or organization nominated.

All requested information must be included in your entry and Submission to be eligible to win. Proof of submitting an entry is not considered proof of delivery or receipt by Sponsor. Limit one entry per person.

6. Project presentation

The project shall be shared via email to sales@genexus.com by September 15, 2025. The instructions for the presentation will be shared with the Participants by email.
To submit your project, you must choose a single category - the one that best represents the main focus or impact of your solution.

The categories are: Innovation in Automation, Data Vision and Enhanced Customer Experience. If you are miss - categorized the Sponsor may re-categorize you in the most accurate category.

Participants who fail to submit their materials within the specified deadline will be disqualified from the competition, with no right to appeal. If the submitted file cannot be opened, the organizers will contact the participant via email in an attempt to resolve the issue. In the event that the file is unreadable or corrupted, a resubmission will be accepted only if the original file was submitted before the deadline. Resubmissions will not be accepted if the initial submission was not made on time.

7. Submissions Containing Prohibited Content or Violate Standards

Submission containing any prohibited elements and/or that are in violation of a law or otherwise deemed by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be prejudicial to Sponsor or any other person or party affiliated with the contest or inappropriate in any way, may be disqualified.  Sponsor may in its sole and absolute discretion disqualify any Participant who is responsible for a Submission that Sponsor deems to violate the Submission Guidelines or the Official Rules. Sponsor may also, in its sole discretion, disqualify any Participant who engages in behavior that is disparaging or derogatory of Sponsor, members of the Judging Panel or any other person or party affiliated with this contest, or of any other Participant, or that is deemed unsportsmanlike by Sponsor. Sponsor may also disqualify any Participant who violates any law, rule, statute, or order of any jurisdiction in connection with the contest, or whose participation in the contest results in Sponsor’s, or puts Sponsor at risk of, violation of any law, rule, statute, or order of any jurisdiction.  Sponsor may also disqualify any potential or confirmed winner (a) who engages in behavior that: (i) is illegal; (ii) (as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) is inappropriate, threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten, harass, victimize, degrade, or intimidate any other individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, age, or disability; or (b) if Sponsor discovers content on potential winner’s or winner’s social media or other public locations which might in the reasonable opinion of Sponsor expose Sponsor to disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule, or shock, insult or offend the public; and in each case Sponsor reserves the right to not award the potential winner a prize, or to withdraw or terminate any prize already awarded. Each Participant further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and each of their respective employees, officers, directors, and agents from and against any claims, lawsuits, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of the use of the Submission submitted in the contest and/or their participation in the contest.  If Participant is participating in the contest in the course of, or in any way connected to, his or her employment (or if Participant is using an employer’s equipment), in addition to any written employer statement requirement identified above, Participant also represents and warrants that he or she has received express prior written consent from his or her employer to participate in the contest, and that there is no contractual, ethical or legal restriction on Participant’s participation in the contest, and his or her participation does not create any conflict of interest.  By participating in the contest, each Participant further agrees at all times to be in compliance with all relevant anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, and Participant’s employers’ internal anti-bribery, anti-corruption, gifts and other relevant policies. Participant is solely responsible for compliance with any applicable laws, rules and regulations, contractual limitations and/or school or company policies, if any, regarding Participant’s participation in the contests, Submissions, and acceptance and use of any prize.

8. No Confidentiality

Participants agree and acknowledge that their Submissions, as well as their participation in the contest, will not be treated as confidential. By submitting a project, Participants authorize the Sponsor to publicly share their Submissions through its official communication channels, including but not limited to websites, social media, and marketing materials. Submissions may be made available to the public, including by posting on the Internet. Sponsor does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any Submission.

9. Jury selection

Each Participant may submit one (1) project and must select one (1) category to apply to from the following:  
  • Automation Innovation: Rewards organizations that use Globant Enterprise AI to automate key processes, reducing time and improving operational efficiency.
  • Data Vision: Recognizes projects that leverage the platform to enhance data analysis and enable real-time, informed decision-making.
  • Enhanced Customer Experience: Highlights initiatives that use Globant Enterprise AI to personalize the customer experience, increasing satisfaction and loyalty.

     
The evaluation methodology for Let’s PLAI consists of two stages:
1. Quantitative Evaluation
All submitted projects will be assessed based on a scoring system across the following evaluation criteria:
 
  • Accuracy and Relevance of Responses (5 points)
  • Natural Language Understanding Capability (4 points)
  • Context Adherence (3 points)
  • Efficiency and Speed (2 points)
  • Creativity and Innovative Solutions (3 points)
  • Personalization and Adaptation (2 points)
  • Security and Privacy (5 points)
  • Usability and Interface (4 points)
  • Multimodal Capability (3 points)
  • Scalability and Robustness (3 points)
  • Empathy and Human-AI Interaction (4 points)
  • Performance on Specific Tasks (5 points)

     
Each criterion will carry a specific point value. The three (3) highest-scoring projects in each category based on this evaluation will be designated as Finalists. Finalists will be publicly announced on October 2, 2025.

2. Qualitative Evaluation
Finalists will then be evaluated based on the submitted customer story, using the following criteria:
 
  • Innovation: How your team is redefining work with Globant Enterprise AI.
  • Business Impact: Measurable improvements in efficiency, collaboration, or productivity.
  • Strategic Use of Globant Enterprise AI: How the platform is integrated into your company's success.

10. Jury Composition

The jury responsible for evaluating the submissions — including the selection of both Finalists and Winners — will consist of a multidisciplinary committee made up of one (1) representative from each of the following areas: Product Management, Sales AI Management, and AI Support Services. Each jury member will be appointed by the Sponsor. All jury decisions will be final and not subject to appeal.

The winner from each category will be the project with the highest combined score after both evaluation stages. Winners will be announced on October 9, 2025.

11. Finalist Determination and Notification

will be notified on October 2, 2025 before 23:59 EDT. All finalists will receive public recognition in GeneXus marketing channels, including mailing campaigns, blog publications, and social media. Finalists and all other Participants will be informed via email at the address submitted during registration who are the Finalists.

12. Winner Determination and Notification

Winners will be announced on October 9, 2025, through the channels of GeneXus. The power sponsor executives of the Winner indicated in the nomination will be notified by email during the week of October 6, 2025. There will be 1 winner per category.
Verification must be completed no later than ten business days from the date Sponsor first attempts notification. Winners may be asked to complete documentation like an affidavit of eligibility and tax documentation. Winners who cannot accept the prize for any reason, including employment terms, will be ineligible. If a potential winner is ineligible, doesn't return documentation by the due date, cannot accept, or refuses the prize, Sponsor may disqualify them and award the prize to the next highest scoring Participant.

13. Prizes

All Finalists (3 per category) will receive public recognition on GeneXus marketing channels, including mailing campaigns, blog posts, and social media publications. Additionally, all Finalists will be granted the first month free when acquiring a paid annual subscription to Globant Enterprise AI (GEAI), provided they subscribe before October 31, 2025.
Winners (1 per category) will receive all the prizes of the Finalists, plus:
 
  • The executive sponsor of each Winner will receive:
    • Economy class airfare to Japan between November 2025 and April 2026 (the exact date will be defined by Sponsor).
    • 5 days of Accommodation.
  • A professionally produced customer story that highlights their transformative impact (success story).
  • The evaluation result of their organization's Let's PLAI project.
  • Press release template and social media kit.

Winners must ensure they have all required valid travel documents, including visas.It does not include per diem for the rest of the days. It does not include ticket changes. The ticket is a round trip to the Winner's country of residence.

There is no participation fee or additional marketing costs to participate in Let´s PLAI. If the executive sponsor does not accept the prize promotion through the channels of GeneXus, the recognition will be lost. Prizes may not be transferred or assigned. Only the prizes listed will be awarded. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded.

14. Taxes

Prizes may be subject to withholding taxes and/or taxation in Participant’s country of residence. Each winner must provide Sponsor with a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number (as applicable) before any prize will be awarded. Winner may be subject to a tax on the value of any prize awarded. The winners are solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes. If required by law, Sponsor shall be entitled to withhold and remit taxes, which shall be discounted from the Prize. Winners understand and agree they may be responsible for taxes exceeding the amounts listed above. Potential winners should consult an accountant or tax professional. As a result of any local laws and restrictions, potential winners may not be eligible to receive a prize, and the prize will therefore be forfeited. In the event a prize is forfeited for any reason, Sponsor may disqualify such potential winner and award the prize to the next highest scoring Participant.

15. Intellectual Property

Any inventions, developments, discoveries, improvements, results, or works created by the Participant in connection with participation in the contest (the “Developments”) shall remain the sole and exclusive property of the Participant.
The Organizer grants Participants a temporary, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Globant Enterprise AI (GEAI)—an artificial intelligence tool owned by the Organizer—for the sole purpose of developing their submission for the contest. This license is valid from the date of registration until the winner is announced, after which the license will be terminated unless otherwise agreed in writing. The GEAI platform and all related tools and technologies remain the exclusive property of the Organizer.

16. Publicity

By participating in the contest, except where prohibited by law, each Participant irrevocably grants the Sponsor and their respective successors, assigns and licensees, the right to use such Participant’s name, likeness, and biographical information, and any other personal characteristics, in any and all media for any purpose, including without limitation, to advertise, market, and promote Sponsor or the contest or other promotions. Each Participant and/or winners hereby release Sponsor from any liability with respect thereto. Participant companies in the contest expressly authorize GeneXus to use their name, logo, and any photographic material provided during the contest, with the aim of promoting and disseminating the event in print, digital, and social media. Finalists and winners will be highlighted in GeneXus marketing channels and related press releases. GeneXus will promote the company name and logo in association with the finalists and winners. The customer stories will also be promoted.

17. Privacy

By participating, the Participant provides their consent for the Sponsor to process their personal data. The purpose of processing this information will be to organize, manage and conduct marketing activities regarding the contest as set out in these Official Rules. The Sponsor will process the personal data in accordance with applicable data privacy laws and Sponsor’s privacy policy. Sponsor may also share the Participant’s personal data with partner organizations and members of the Judging Panel for the management of the contest. Participants may exercise any of their rights regarding the processing of their personal data by contacting privacy@globant.com. Any omission or inaccuracy in the data provided by the Participant will be considered grounds for disqualification. 

18. Errors and Unauthorized Activities

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the contest is impaired for any reason (including fraud, virus, or other technical problem), Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either suspend the contest to address the impairment and then resume it, or cancel/terminate it and award prizes from eligible entries based on skill criteria. Sponsor reserves the right to modify prize award procedures. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds tampering with the entry/participation process or operation of the contest, or acting in violation of rules or in an unsportsmanlike/disruptive manner. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation may be a violation of law, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

19. Release

Subject to any applicable laws, by participating, you agree to release Sponsor, promotional agencies, franchisees, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees (“Released Parties”), from and against any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising in connection with the contest to the extent possible under applicable law (except where Sponsor is at fault through intentional or negligent conduct), including without limitation, those related to prize acceptance/possession/use/misuse/nonuse, incorrect/inaccurate information, technical/communications malfunctions, unauthorized human intervention, technical/human error in administration/processing, cancellation/termination of the contest, inability to award prize due to circumstances beyond control, and claims that your Submission infringes third party rights. You agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability shall, to the extent permitted by applicable law, be limited to any cost of entering and participating in the contest and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees or other legal costs. You acknowledge that the Released Parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable, to the extent permitted by law, for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, relative to a prize. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.

20. Modifications

The Organizer may cancel, suspend or modify these Rules and/or the Contest, communicating the decision using the same means used to communicate the Rules and Contest. The Organizer reserves the right, without incurring any liability, to suspend or terminate the Contest at any time, for any reason the Organizer deems appropriate. This decision will be communicated to the Participants as the Organizer deems appropriate. 

21. Severability

If a court finds part of these rules illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each of the paragraphs of these rules operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect. 

22. Disputes, Governing Law, Arbitration, and Limitation of Liability

Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the validity, construction, interpretation, performance, and enforcement of the contest and these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of you and Sponsor, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Except where prohibited, you agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this contest or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively by arbitration pursuant to the Rules of JAMS, then effective. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: YOU FURTHER AGREE, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EACH PARTICIPANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, AND CONSEQUENTIAL, DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES, AND ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

23. Winner’s List

To obtain a copy of any legally-required winners list, send an email to sales@genexus.com with the subject line Let's PLAIN: Winner's List. All such requests must be received within sixty (60) days after the close of the Submission Period.
