Organized by Darex, GeneXus distributor in Bolivia, and also with the participation of ARTech, the GX-SAP Event was held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The general idea of the event was to present GeneXus as an application development tool, supplementing or expanding SAP installations.

The event itself had two sections. The first day was a workshop in the Cooperativa Rural de Electrificación (electric power utility company of Santa Cruz de la Sierra), to develop a GeneXus model integrated to its SAP installation. The next day the event itself was held, with the participation of around 30 people from 6 companies in the country. Most of these companies have SAP installations and, more important, all of them were interested in finding a development tool that would enable them to improve the response time to new requirements.

GeneXus was presented during the first conference, which was accompanied by a demonstration, and finally, there was a second conference presenting the integration methodology of GeneXus applications with SAP, followed by a demonstration of the model made on the first day and comments about the experience. 

As it was expected, the results were highly satisfactory and they were reflected on the comments of the attendees who were positively impressed by GeneXus capacities, as well as by its potential to develop SAP integrated applications.
