GeneXus Top Five in China

Sungiant is an official GeneXus distributor in China. In this special issue about GeneXus in the Asian market, we'll take a look at the five largest companies in which GeneXus is currently present. Also, we'll discuss the technological adjustments that have been made for the local market, as well as the resulting cultural exchange taking place between both continents.

Today, we introduce our official representative in the People's Republic of China: Sungiant. It is based in Shanghai, more specifically in the Minhang district, in the east-central part of China.

In this mobile scenario, GeneXus has a very active presence. Enterprise applications are also developed using web technology and, in turn, they are integrated into mobile solutions, including workflow and reporting features.

GeneXus adjustments for China

In China, since websites and applications such as Google, Facebook and Twitter are restricted, the technology must be specifically adapted to their social networks.

For example, GeneXus applications have been adjusted to integrate them into Baidu Maps, which is similar to Google Maps. Other adjustments include local push notification services for Android because the Google ones don't work. In addition, changes have been made to achieve integration with Alipay and WeChat Pay, which dominate the Chinese market of online businesses and applications.

Shanghai Qitong is the largest distributor of Yonyou ERP (the most famous #ERP in China) in Shanghai. This client has used GeneXus for many mobile and integration apps.

#5 Zhejiang Normal University

ZJNU (Zhejiang Normal University). It's one of the most important universities in the province of Zhejiang, with 30,000 students. A mobile and interactive travel application has been developed and integrated with online games developed at the university. Created for Android and iOS.
