GeneXus 17 U8: News in the IDE, Web Security, .NET, Native mobile and more

This update provides important advances in modeling capabilities in GeneXus, support for the latest technologies, and security improvements for generated applications.

Regarding the modeling capacity, the novelty is that the image and file objects can now be part of the modules, these can now share design systems. This gives modeling power by enabling more efficient design reuse, whether it be between different components of a single application or even between separate applications or knowledge bases.

Regarding Microsoft technology, it has been updated and extended so that the .NET Generator now supports .NET 6, the latest version of the platform, which includes many performance improvements.

The innovations in security come from the side of web applications that can now use Time-based One Time Password (TOTP) passwords. These passwords are not vulnerable to attacks, eliminate the need for users to remember or store passwords, and avoid the risks involved in the common practice of using the same password for multiple services.

We invite you to read the GeneXus 17 Upgrade 8 community wiki article, and learn in detail about: .NET, IDE, Security, Native Mobile, Reporting and Testing.
