GeneXus Low-Code at Cloud Expo Asia 2022
GeneXus participated, along with its local distributor REZEMON, in the latest edition of Cloud Expo Asia 2022 that took place in Singapore.
The exhibition, which is part of Tech Week Singapore, is Asia’s largest and most attended technology event that was resumed after a two-year interruption due to the pandemic.
The 8th edition of Cloud Expo Asia was held on October 12th and 13th at Singapore’s brand-new Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Decision-makers from Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, The Philippines and all the APAC region met this time to learn about the latest news on Cloud & Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, and DevOps.
GeneXus’ comfortable booth lodged an exhibit on cutting-edge trends of web and mobile app development, focused on the growth of SuperApps and mini-apps.
GeneXus’ presence at this event was in the context of expansion of the low-code platform throughout the APAC region, in line with the increasing number of clients from countries like The Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
“Singapore is a market that has shown great maturity in adopting Low-Code, though focused on a few offerors who provide very similar and scarcely differentiated value propositions. GeneXus offers a product to cover several technologies, with total freedom for deployment, and a unique licensing model, all of which implies higher value for the region’s companies, also allowing for other enterprises to benefit from creating apps with low-code,” said GeneXus Sales Director Jaime González Presto.
Rezemon’s Director Chuan Boon Lee also reflected on their mission as new technology arrives and the efforts required to keep up with it: “The choices are keeping up with the pace or staying behind. And the answer is obvious. Though not exponential, the growth of technology is not linear either. We need a tool to aid us in keeping that distance under control, and the low-code platform is an answer to this.”
Globalization implies that countries on opposite sides of the world can be as close as neighbors, and so are competitors. Therefore, it is important to have a partner who is permanently enhancing technology, with an outlook on the future and keeping up to date with competitors.
"The GeneXus development platform is quite an incredible tool. I started to work with codes almost 25 years ago, and those days, the CASE tools were what we had. Then came RAD, and now there is low-code. Most of the countless tools that came up are no longer around, but GeneXus remains firm," concluded Gan Chee Keong, Solution Lead at Rezemon.
