GeneXus and Microsoft.NET

ARTech has presented eighteen software applications for the Microsoft.NET platform which have been developed with GeneXus.NET by ARTech's business partners, during the XII GeneXus International Meeting

The new Microsoft.NET platform will be released in the next months and GeneXus has the corresponding generator already available, thus allowing its customers, particularly the software houses, to migrate easily their present applications to the new platform. GeneXus.NET is ARTech's intelligent systems generator (http://www.artech.com.uy) which makes it possible the automatic design, generation and maintenance of computerized databases and applications for the Microsoft.NET platform.

These 18 GeneXus solutions for the .NET platform are launched only two months after the GeneXus.NET generator has been released (http://dotnet.gxtech.com.uy), and they cover different areas such as electronic commerce, finance, accounting, customs administration, Web sites contents management, hotel booking, human resources management, e-learning, etc. The reason why it has been possible to have all these applications available in such a short time is that GeneXus allows a very high productivity and, as it works at knowledge level, it eases the conversion of already existing applications to the new technologies. To make this possible, ARTech is permanently investing in research and development regarding its technology.

"Microsoft is pleased to work with ARTech to provide its customers a complete business solution", said Alain Gentilhomme, Manager of .NET Framework and Visual Studio. "The combination of GeneXus and the .NET platform provides a new and exiting solution which hides the complicated details of database design from the business users so as to maximize the productivity of our common customers", he stated.

The relationship with Microsoft Corp. is very important in ARTech's strategy, since it allows a timely update on the new technologies and the new products to be released by Microsoft which, in turn, will make it possible an earlier presence in the market with solutions making use of these new technologies and products.
