GeneXus Server Toledo in GeneXus 15 Beta

The Toledo version of GeneXus Server has been integrated into GeneXus 15 Beta (Salto), which means that GeneXus beta testers will also be able to try the main new features of GeneXus Server.

GeneXus Server is the change management tool provided by GeneXus to bring agility, traceability and security to project development, in addition to teamwork and change integration features.

For some time now, work has been under way to create a new version of GeneXus Server. This new version, code-named "Toledo", will provide significant enhancements in terms of performance and user interface. Since the Toledo project has been integrated into GeneXus 15 (Salto) Beta 2, all beta testers of GeneXus 15 can now try these new features.

What new features does it bring?

New Web Console that offers an enhanced user experience.
Performance improvements in Commit and Update operations that translate into increased agility for integrating changes.
Partial Object Commit. It allows selecting some of the changes made to an object to have them included in the Commit operation or mark them as pending.
Blame Changes Command. Have you ever wondered who wrote a certain line or set a property with a certain value? Blame Changes allows you to know who made the latest change to each fragment of an object.
- Improvements to Security settings (users, roles, and permissions).

How can I try this new version of GeneXus Server?

At http://sandbox.genexusserver.com/salto you will find a public GXserver service of this version that can be tried by everyone who is using GeneXus Beta. In addition, a setup is available to install on your own machine and can be found among the downloads available to beta testers of the Salto version.
